“KCQ CASH COW” ON-AIR CONTEST RULES

Staff of MacDonald Broadcasting Co., Frankenmuth Credit Union, Covenant HealthCare and subsidiaries and Valassis Direct Mail, Inc., and their advertising representatives are not eligible to win. Employees and staff of competing radio and TV stations in Mid-Michigan (Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, Flint and others) and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate. One winner per household including cash winners and KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert bonus prize package winners. Winners automatically consent to any and all reasonable promotion during and after the promotion (on air use of name in newspapers and on television). No purchase necessary. Winners of other lesser valued on-air contests in the 45 days prior to the start of the “KCQ Cash Cow” on-air contest as well as during the stated contest period are eligible to play the “KCQ Cash Cow” contest. Once a contestant wins cash playing the contest, that individual or any person in the same household is not eligible to win any other prize on-air from WKCQ for a period of at least 45 days.

 

The 98 KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert “KCQ Cash Cow” on-air contest will begin on Thursday, May 11, 2017 and end on Friday, June 9, 2017. The contest will air Monday thru Friday between 7am and 7pm. There will be no contest play on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017. The contest will be played one to three times a day on contest days.

 

To play the contest, listen each morning, Monday thru Friday at 7:20am when the Q Morning Crew will announce the hours in which the “KCQ Cash Cow” contest will play. Listeners will find the “KCQ Cash Cow” “game piece” on the back of the KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert Flyer.  The “KCQ Cash Cow” contest solicit sounder will air in contest hours. The ninth caller will be selected on the Q Lines (989-753-4498 or toll free 800-262-0098) and will play the contest. The contest consists of a pre-recorded imaginary audio character “Moola - The Cash Cow” who “delivers money instead of milk”. Each on-air contest can feature a different “Moola – The Cash Cow” scenario for the character involving different potential cash accumulations. The contestant will be asked to say “mooo” (stop) before the audio character, “Moola - The Cash Cow”, “kicks over the money pail” that Moola has filled with money during that game. If the contestant says “mooo” (stop) before the character “kicks the money pail over, the contestant wins the amount of money accumulated so far during the “Moola – The Cash Cow “milking session” during the game. The amount of money won may vary with each play of the contest. When the contestant does win the money accumulated by the “Moola – The Cash Cow” character, they will be given a chance to win bonus prizes by correctly answering the announcer’s question of what artist’s name is at particular number on the KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert “Hall of Fame” list on the back of the KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert flyer. If the contestant fails to say “mooo” (stop) before character “Moola – The Cash Cow kicks the money pail over, the contestant does not win the money. The contestant will be allowed to play for the Bonus Prizes that include two reserved seat Preferred Gold tickets to the KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert on June 17, 2017, two KCQ CMF t-shirts and a CD from Brothers Osborne, Thompson Square or another artist. Additional WKCQ advertising partner supplied prizes may also be awarded. Copies of the KCQ Country Music Fest Free Concert Flyer (or Game Piece) are available while supplies last at the WKCQ offices, 2000 Whittier Street, Saginaw, MI 48601 during regular business hours.

 

All cash prizes must be picked up in person and social security card (or copy) plus photo identification must be presented at time of pick up. Cash prizes won along with bonus prizes will be available for pick up during normal business hours starting on the Friday of the week following a contestant’s win. KCQ business hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and after Memorial Day, Friday hours will be 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the KCQ Business Office, 2000 Whittier Street, Saginaw. No purchase necessary.
