The Senate unanimously moved to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security, except for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and part of Customs and Border Protection. The standoff over funding for DHS has withheld pay for thousands of TSA agents and other DHS workers, causing major travel delays and scores of missed flights nationwide. 

 U.S. stock futures rose today after President Trump extended a deadline to attack Iran's energy infrastructure amid ongoing negotiations with the Islamic Republic. The rise in U.S. stock futures comes after Trump said he would extend a pause to attack Iran's energy facilities to April 6.  

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month.  Law enforcement agencies across the state are stepping up enforcement of distracted drivers. Research has shown that a driver's risk of being involved in a car accident increases dramatically when he or she uses a cell phone when driving. If you're texting while driving, you're 23 times more likely to be in a car accident.
