Middle East Tensions Continue, Kidnapping Plot Conviction Overturned
U.S. and Iran Exchange Strikes for Second Straight Day
Tensions remain high in the Middle East as the United States and Iran exchanged military strikes for a second consecutive day.
U.S. Central Command says it carried out a wave of self-defense strikes targeting military surveillance and radar sites in southern Iran.
Iran responded by launching attacks aimed at U.S. military assets in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan.
The latest exchange marks another escalation in an already volatile region.
Michigan Officials Condemn Court Ruling
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Governor Gretchen Whitmer's office are criticizing a recent ruling by the Michigan Court of Appeals that overturned the conviction of a man accused of supporting a plot to kidnap the governor.
The court reversed the conviction of Joseph Morrison, stating that kidnapping was not considered a violent felony under the circumstances of the case.
Nessel called the decision "preposterous" and says her office plans to appeal the ruling.
