A mid-Michigan man, who wished to remain nameless, admits to being scared of his basement, because of spiders.  Having just moved in, he says the thought of them nibbling on him, keeps him from using this space as a bedroom.

"Generally, I'm not scared of a nibble,

but not from a spider."

Sadly, research says you are within a few feet of 10 spiders in every room of your house.  Spiders do like the basement because it's dark and there are other insects there to prey on.  However, they make their homes in all parts of the house. 

In general, most spiders are just a harmless "micro nuiscence."  And for those who like to catch spiders and release them, this is a death sentance for spiders.  While your heart is in the right place, Indoor spiders, like most domesticated creatures are almost immediately preyed on by outdoor creatures.
