Pringles Is Putting Hot Dog Buns in Cans... And Somehow This Is Real

People love celebrating Christmas in July, but this might be the most unexpected “April Fools’ Day in July” moment yet. The wild part? It’s not a joke.

Pringles has announced a brand-new creation that sounds like it escaped from a snack scientist’s imagination: flavored hot dog buns that come in cans.

Yes, you read that correctly. Hot dog buns. In cans. One bun per can.

The limited-edition creation is called Pringles Pop Dog Buns, and these potato-based buns are infused with the flavors of some of Pringles’ most popular chips. The lineup includes:

Sour Cream & Onion
BBQ
Honey Mustard

Because apparently, regular hot dog buns were just too predictable. Somewhere, a hot dog looked at a potato chip and said, “I need that as a jacket.”

The buns won’t be showing up on grocery store shelves. They’re only available through Pringles’ online marketplace, Once You Pop Market.

Here’s how it works: You purchase a three-pack of Pringles chips for $7, and you’ll receive three Pop Dog Buns for free.

There will be two chances to get your hands on these canned creations:               The first drop happens tomorrow
The second drop happens Wednesday, July 15, which just happens to be National Hot Dog Day

Will America embrace the chip-flavored bun revolution? Or will people stare at a canned hot dog bun and ask, “Who looked at bread and said, ‘Put it in a can’?”

Either way, Pringles has officially made the summer of 2026 a little crunchier.
