At some point in life, you unlock a very important privilege: becoming the person who says, “Wait… you’ve NEVER seen that movie?!”

It’s basically the movie version of handing down family recipes, old stories, and the mysterious ability to know exactly where the remote is hiding. 

Now, the editors at Cosmopolitan have put together a list of 50 “old” movies that every young person needs to watch. Of course, like any movie list, it’s also a little bit of “these are the movies WE love,” but there are plenty of legendary films that deserve a spot on the list.
