President Donald Trump says talks with Iran are expected to take place today after previously saying he had paused an imminent military strike in hopes of reaching a diplomatic agreement.
Trump did not provide details on where the talks would be held or who would participate. No additional information about the negotiations has been released.
More Than One Million Michiganders Have Already Voted
More than 1 million Michigan voters have already cast their ballots ahead of tomorrow's primary election.
The Secretary of State says more than 73,000 voters participated during the state's early voting period, which ran from July 25 through July 30.
If you haven't voted yet, polls across Michigan will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Michigan Supreme Court Rules on Line 5 Tunnel Project
The Michigan Supreme Court has overturned state regulatory approval of the proposed Enbridge Line 5 Tunnel Project.
The project involves replacing the section of the pipeline that runs beneath the Straits of Mackinac with a tunnel.
The court ruled that regulators did not fully evaluate the tunnel's potential environmental impacts or adequately compare the project with possible alternatives. The matter will now return for additional review.
Tigers Make a Blockbuster Trade
Just ahead of the 2026 MLB trade deadline, the Detroit Tigers have traded pitcher Tarik Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In return, Detroit receives outfielder Zyhir Hope along with right-handed pitchers River Ryan and Brady Smith.
Skubal recently returned after missing about a month while recovering from arthroscopic surgery.
The Tigers also stayed hot on the field, shutting out the Oakland Athletics 11-0.
Meanwhile, the Great Lakes Loons fell to the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 12-5.
