Remember back in February when we couldn't wait for summer? We were dreaming about backyard BBQs, beach days, camping trips, and soaking up every minute of sunshine.
Fast forward a few months... and now many of us are saying, "It's too hot. I'll just stay inside where the AC is."
A new survey of more than 7,000 Americans found that 29% say they've been spending less time outdoors this summer than they normally do. Only 18% say they're spending more time outside, while nearly half say their outdoor habits have stayed about the same.
The good news for Mid-Michigan? People in the Midwest are actually among those most likely to be spending more time outdoors, even with the heat.

Interestingly, Milwaukee was the only Midwest city to crack the Top 10, while hot-weather cities like Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Houston landed near the bottom of the rankings.
Maybe it's because when temperatures climb into the 90s, the patio starts looking a lot less inviting and the couch starts winning.
