Disney fans got a LOT to chew on this weekend.
Disney’s biennial D23 fan convention took over Anaheim, California, bringing a flood of announcements about upcoming Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and Disney projects.
Here are some of the biggest reveals:
“Avengers: Doomsday”
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell helped unveil a new teaser. One detail getting fans talking is a glimpse of a blue-eyed Doctor Doom.
Hugh Jackman also appeared in a clip asking for a role in the movie, adding even more fuel to speculation that Deadpool and Wolverine could somehow get involved.
A New “X-Men” Cast
Disney also revealed casting for its upcoming “X-Men” reboot. Adam Driver will reportedly play Mister Sinister, Chris Abbott will take on Charles Xavier, and Inde Navarrette will play Rogue.
“Frozen 3”
Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel performed a new song from “Frozen 3,” while Josh Gad debuted another and teased a possible girlfriend for Olaf.
An exclusive teaser for the movie was also shown to the D23 crowd.
“Coco 2”
We’re going back to the Land of the Dead, but we’ll have to wait a while.
“Coco 2” is scheduled for November 2029, with Miguel now a teenager and sporting a new look.
“Zootopia 3”
A third “Zootopia” movie is officially happening. There’s no release date yet, but fans got a teaser featuring a new bird character.
“Star Wars: Starfighter”
Ryan Gosling appeared alongside director Shawn Levy to talk about “Star Wars: Starfighter.”
Gosling will play a pilot, with the story reportedly venturing into a completely new galaxy.
“Lilo & Stitch 2”
Stitch is getting another adventure, and this time he’s getting a love interest.
“Lilo & Stitch 2” is scheduled to arrive May 28, 2028, and will introduce Angel.
“Romy & Michele 2”
Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino reunited at D23 to give fans an update on the long-awaited “Romy & Michele” sequel and where their characters are now.
Oswald Is Coming to Disney+
Jon Favreau announced a three-part Disney+ miniseries centered on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, one of Walt Disney’s earliest characters. The series is expected to premiere in February.
Live-Action “Tangled”
D23 attendees got their first look at Disney’s live-action “Tangled.”
Kathryn Hahn also appeared and thanked fans for campaigning to see her play Mother Gothel. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters March 31, 2028.
“The Bluey Movie”
Yep, Bluey is headed to the big screen!
A teaser showed off a new CG animation style for Bluey and the gang. “The Bluey Movie” is scheduled to hit theaters August 6, 2027.
“Incredibles 3”
The Parr family is coming back.
“Incredibles 3” will reportedly put more of the focus on the two oldest kids, Violet and Dash. It’s scheduled for theaters June 16, 2028.
“Kingdom Hearts”
Finally, Disney is bringing “Kingdom Hearts” to television. An anime series based on the popular video game franchise is officially in development.
Between Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, Bluey and a whole lot of sequels, Disney just gave fans plenty to circle on their calendars.
