Michigan Voting Proposal Heads to Supreme Court

The group behind the proposal, Americans for Citizen Voting, submitted more than 700,000 signatures in an effort to qualify the measure for the ballot.
However, a state review found that only 612 of 1,000 sampled signatures were valid, putting the proposal's future in question.
If approved, the proposal would require voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, show photo identification and establish regular voter-roll reviews.
