A Few Halloween Safety Reminders
Before heading out for the evening, remember to:
-
Carry a flashlight or wear something reflective.
-
Stick to sidewalks and well-lit streets.
-
Cross at corners and crosswalks.
-
Make sure costumes don't block vision or make walking difficult.
-
Have an adult accompany younger trick-or-treaters.
-
Check candy before eating it.
One last thing: Times can vary by neighborhood, and some communities haven't announced designated hours. Check with your city or township before heading out, especially if you're planning to visit more than one area.
From all of us at 98 KCQ, have a safe, happy Halloween, Mid-Michigan! And remember, calories from Halloween candy don't count until November 1. We don't make the rules!
