Bay Boaters Forecast continues this weekend at 6:50, 7:50, 11:50, and 5:50!

The Bay is now on RDS!  That means when you put a Bay liner into File Manager.  On the title line after you name the file, please add IMG to the end.  Ex. Bay Liner IMG.

Please make sure to read and absorb the air staff memo on posting copy-written material or images.  We have been fined and it’s avoidable.  If you don’t own the image, do not post it.  I have posted a folder on the network of approved artist images.  DO NOT ADD. DO NOT DELETE from this file.  If you have an image that can be added, send it to me. 

Our co-worker and friend Greg sent me an update and he continues to improve.  He celebrated his 74^th birthday this past week and we continue to root for him and wish him well in his convalescence. While he is still getting stronger with physical therapy, he does have a driving evaluation in September which could get him a massive amount of freedom.  Please keep sending him all the positive vibrations!

KCQ is working on a Back To School Tour collecting school supplies.  We have secured a tour bus to “stuff” and a band to play at the event.  We’re working on location and more details soon!

Ray will be at Friday Night Live for KCQ on August 7th

Linwood Picklefest is coming the weekend of Aug. 15th, Stay tune for Joe's day at Picklefest!

We have our dates for Santa Joe!!!  It will kick off this year on Nov. 11th!  Working on securing our date for our Santa Joe Christmas Movie Marathon!

Joe's Party on McCarty night is coming up on Aug. 20^th with Cowboy hosting!

Picklefest is the weekend of the 14^th in Linwood!  Joe will be on site Saturday (15th)  for the Rock Show and the Bay will be on site for Polka on Sunday (16th)!

Joe's 3 oh 3 Pick me up returns next Monday the 10^th with TOTO tickets! 

We are looking to kick off Santa Joe this year with a Corn Hole Tournament!!  Details to come!!

You may notice our On Air Success factors posted in the KCQ studio.  When we follow these guidelines, we win. 

DELIVERY SHAPES EVERYTHING:  How you say it, is as important as what you say.  All three of our brands are upbeat, fun, energetic, local, positive and light.  How can you sound like that as you’re delivering content!

VOCAL VARIATION:  Don’t get into the habit of articulating our brand names or your content the same way every time.  Can you adjust your vocal presentation by 10 degrees, each time?

VOCAL TEMPO:  As a comparison, when you speak on air, you are not on a leisurely Sunday stroll.  Hurry, but don’t rush.  Pick up the pace.  Not only is their natural energy in it, but the human brain is lightning fast.  If they know where you’re going before you get there, we are sort of dead in the water.  Keep up the pace!  When rehearsing your content, SAY IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN, to start.  Even if you’re not articulating every word or not pausing enough, rush through the first rehearsal.  THEN rehearse as you would deliver content on air.  You’ll automatically say your content FASTER!

DON’T POST AND GHOST:  Yes, we ask that you post multiple times a show on the KCQ socials.  You must interact with the people who comment.  Don’t JUST like or love the comment, engage. This is how you build a following!
