Nashville, TN — Legendary singer Dolly Parton says she’s not cut out to judge competition shows — and her reason is heartwarming.
“Too hard for me. That’s why I don’t accept it,” Dolly shared. “I know how sincere everybody is, even if they’re not that good — they believe they are. I just can’t hurt people.”
And with her 80th birthday coming up in January, Dolly’s not slowing down.
“You think I’m gonna wear a thing like that? Go fine with makin’? I absolutely don’t. I think to do love. Of course not,” she laughed. “How many people turn 80 and are still doing all the things I’m doing? I’m excited about it.”
Country superstar Blake Shelton dropped his brand-new album this past Friday, marking his first full release in four years.
“Some of these songs go back four, maybe even five years,” Blake said. “You never know when the last album you make is the last, and I’m just so thankful for how Texas has done.”
Fans can expect a mix of heartfelt storytelling and Shelton’s signature charm on the long-awaited project.
Jelly Roll didn’t hold back when revealing his pick for ACM Entertainer of the Year: Cody Johnson.

“Then he goes straight home and he’s a husband, a father, and a farmer. That’s why he deserves it. That makes me wanna cry.”
Morgan Wallen was notably absent from the ACM Awards last week, but with a pretty unforgettable excuse — he was playing golf in Northern Ireland with former NFL star Tom Brady.
While fans missed him at the show, the country hitmaker seemed to be enjoying his downtime across the pond.
